Sukarna Sarker is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University. She joined the department as a full-time faculty member in Summer 2025, after serving as an adjunct lecturer since Fall 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from BRAC University, graduating with the highest distinction. During her undergraduate studies, she was awarded a merit-based scholarship for her academic excellence. In addition, she successfully completed a faculty development training program under the Learning and Teaching Innovation Center (LTIC), further strengthening her pedagogical skills.

Prior to her faculty appointment, Ms. Sarker worked as a student tutor, providing academic support to students from both the School of Data and Sciences (MNS) and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University. Her early engagement in teaching and mentoring roles reflects her commitment to academic development and student success.

She currently serves as the course coordinator for CSE420: Compiler Design, overseeing the course’s delivery and academic integrity across multiple sections.

Ms.  Sarker’s professional interests lie in computer science education, compiler design,machine learning and innovative teaching methodologies. She is dedicated to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.
